
	Act The life as a super hero is not always easy as Peter Parker finds out as he loses his job. The same day he is also late for university and after a hard day finally goes home exhausted. There his friends Harry Osborn and Mary Jane Watson remind him that it’s his birthday. As they celebrate Peter’s birthday, Harry who still doesn’t know that his father was the Green Goblin starts having a go at Spider-Man, an argument occurs between the two friends Harry and Peter. Just before it gets ugly, they make up. Peter promises Mary Jane to watch the play with her in the lead role. But the next day he is attacked by criminals on the way to the theatre, so once again he is too late and can not see the play. while he is waiting for Mary Jane, he sees that a man is kissing her, he runs off into the night and becomes Spider-Man. Nearly too late and through inexplicable reasons, his powers fail him and he falls to the ground. A few days later, Harry introduces Peter to Dr. Octavius who is working on a new source of energy research, based on a sustained fusion. Dr. Octavius has developed four artificially intelligent mechanical arms which are impervious to heat and magnetism to help him with his experiments. But on presentation day the fusion totally unexpectedly fails and Octavius completely loses control. The system overloads and the chip controlling the arms breaks. Through the overload, the arms become fused to his spine. Peter as Spider-Man saves his friend Harry. He has now lost most of his money, which he put into research and his company is facing bankruptcy. He is ungrateful to Spider-Man and angry at Dr. Octavius. The Dr. is in a hospital, but when doctors try to separate the arms, they develop a life of their own and kill all those present. Octavius flees, his thoughts are increasingly controlled by the tentacles, who play on his ego and vainty.He wants to complete his experiment at any costs. To get the necessary money, he robs a bank at which Peter and his Aunt happen to be present.. Although his powers fail again, he can save his aunt and "Doctor Octopus" escapes. Peter acknowledges that he must renounce his super powers, if he is to lead a normal life. But as Mary Jane, who is now engaged with another man is kidnapped by Dr. Octopus, Peter becomes Spider-Man once more.The last thing Dr. Octopus needs to rebuild his reactor is tritum.At first Harry wouldn’t give it to him, but they strike a deal, the tritum for Spider-Man. After a great battle between Spider-Man and Dr. Octopus, Spider-Man is caught and brought to Harry. Harry can’t believe his enemy is his best friend but tells him where Dr. Octopus is holding Mary Jane prisoner. Spiderman manages to stun the doctor and reveals his true identity. Dr. Octopus regains his senses and wants to make right what he has done wrong. He successfully drowns the reactor with his mechanical arms but at the cost of his own life. At the end of the film, Mary Jane tells Peter that she loves him. Cast Tobey Maguire as Spider-Man, Kirsten Dunst as Mary Jane and James Franco as Harry Osborn are known from the first film. As the villain Doctor Octopus Alfred Molina shines. Prices and Reviews At the box office it was almost exactly as successful as the previous Spider-Man and gained positive reviews. An Oscar for Best Sound and two other nominations are the most important awards.
