In one of his appearances at the studio he refuses to stop a thief, pointing out that it is the job of the police and not of a star. Weeks later his beloved uncle Ben is murdered, Spiderman is horrified to find out that the killer is the same thief he refused to stop. He learns that with superpowers comes great responsibility. The balancing between personal needs and the high responsibility remains one of the main themes of the entire comics. Overall, the comic has an almost depressive mood, which swings as he grows with his tasks, leading to a higher self-confidence of the main character. Super personnel and equipment Spider-Man has superior physical abilities like stamina, reflexes and strength, he is also an extremely quick and agile mover, who is able to cling to most surfaces and has a special precognitive spider sense tuned to danger.
